Interview for Research Group Goes Well

Camille Gazoul conducted an interview with a man working at The Green Door dispensary on East Liberty Street in Ann Arbor and gathered necessary information for her research group.

“He said a lot of words,” said Gazoul.

After the interview, she found a table at the nearby Espresso Royale coffee shop to transcribe the information, typing away intensely. 

“I do type really hard. People have mentioned that to me before," said Gazoul, "I’m not angry."

She wondered aloud how to spell “opioids,” which had been mentioned in her conversation at the dispensary. After searching for the correct spelling, she said it had more ‘i’s than she expected.

Camille Gazoul, a University of Michigan student conducting research on behalf of the Evolutionary Behavior in Psychology lab, will be interviewing people at medical marijuana dispensaries. The research, conducted by Dr. Daniel Kruger , a professor who studies public health, will focus on the relationship between patients’ use of medical marijuana and their mainstream health care, said Gazoul. Instagram: Take It or Leave It, or Something In-Between

   Some people put a lot of time and thought into how they utilize the Instagram app. For others, it’s less than essential.    Social media is often used by young people as a means of comparison against their peers, said Jacqueline Nesi , a social, clinical, and developmental psychology researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
